Word as Image in Space & Time

PURR MAGAZINE is a 16-page zine developed through an engagement in both organic and artificial practices as an approach to generative design. In this brief, AI-chatbots and machine-learning systems were utilised in order to produce a unique compositions of typography. My design approach involved a collaboration with AI-chatbots such as Google’s Gemini to generate short phrases and stories describing images of my cat. I found the artificiality of the writing style and authenticity of the images to create a beautifully contrasted piece of work, representative of the dichotomies posed by scrapism as practicing designers and artists within the modern world.
